Fruiterers’ Company
The Lord Mayor’s Representative, Ald and Sheriff Dame Susan Langley, accompanied by Mr Gary Langley, and Ald and Sheriff Bronek Masojada, accompanied by Mrs Jane Masojada, attended the Annual Banquet of the Fruiterers’ Company, held last night at Mansion House.
Dr Christopher Bishop, Master, presided assisted by the Upper Warden, Mr George Smith, the Renter Warden, Mr Christopher Newenham, and Clerk Sarah Murnane. Sir Ernest Ryder also spoke.
Among others present were: Lady Chief Justice Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill, the Rt Rev James Newcome, Adml Sir Philip Jones, the Second Sea Lord, Vice-Adml Martin Connell, General Sir Robert Pascoe, ACM Sir Stephen Dalton, AVM Mick Smeath, and the Masters of the Cooks’ and Farmers’ Companies.
The triennially-awarded Matthew Mack Award was presented to Liveryman Richard Harnden.
